Webinar: Farm to Table Cooking
Continuing with our Summer Garden Spotlight Series, we welcome Akeila Forrester of ‘Cooking with Keeks’. In this class, we will use herbs and veggies harvested from our gardens to make a simple and delicious seasonal dinner salad! Using kale, shaved radish, and roasted leeks with garlic lemon and herb vinaigrette + fresh croutons, Akeila will share a fun farm-to-table recipe that we can all enjoy.

- 1 bunch kale
- Breakfast radish (or what you have available)
- 1 leek
- 4 cloves garlic
- 3 lemons
- Olive or vegetable oil
- 1 bunch parsley
- a few sprigs of fresh thyme
- 2 slices of any bread of your choice
- Salt and black pepper
Webinar: Bee Friendly Gardening
In the 3rd installment of our Summer Garden Spotlight Series, we welcome Bonnie Morse;
beekeeper and co-owner of Bonnie Bee & Company in Marin County. She will teach us about the bees (native and European honeybees) that visit our gardens, as well as how you can help support them, plus protect and restore our local biodiversity. Planning a bee-friendly garden can also reduce your garden inputs, including watering. It’s a win, win! Learn what plants and planting tips will attract a diverse group of bees to your garden.

Summer Garden Spotlight Series: Smartphone Garden Photography
We welcome local photographer Rod Milstead. With over twenty years of classroom teaching experience, Rod thrives on inspiring people to use their cameras to creatively express themselves through capturing the image, processing, and sharing the final work. In this class, Rod will describe how to use composition, light, and free or low-cost apps to explore and create beautiful garden images that you will be proud to share.
