Basil can be grown throughout summer and fall for delicious pesto. Learn how to grow basil.
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 bunch fresh basil
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
- 1/3 cup toasted pine nuts
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- salt and pepper, to taste
Blend all ingredients together in a food processor until pesto is bright green. Taste as you go and adjust ingredients accordingly. Serve over pasta, pizza or on garlic bread. We especially love fresh pesto with burrata. Yum!
