Penstemon, also known as Beardtongue, is one of our most popular summer blooming perennials. They can be used in almost any garden from drought tolerant Mediterranean to whimsical cottage style. They are loved by bees, hummingbirds, butterflies and moths. The perfect pollinator plant! Deer usually leave Penstemon alone. Penstemon is available in shades of red, pink, white, purple and blue, and are best grown in full sun with well-drained soil.
