Garden Design Department

We offer both on-site and virtual garden design appointments for residents of Marin, San Francisco, and the East Bay.

Fees: We charge $150/hr with a minimum charge of $150. Note: Sloat gift cards can be applied to consultation services.

We begin with a one-hour consultation. In this one-hour appointment we can focus on solutions for specific areas of your garden such as:

● Plant identification and recommendations for care.

● Problem-solving for targeted areas.

● Pest and disease identification and suggestions for treatment.

● General plant recommendations.

● Simple conceptual ideas for garden possibilities.

Following this meeting, our designers will give a time estimate to complete the agreed upon next steps.

DYNAMIC DESIGN

Dynamic Design is the most efficient way to get planting. After an initial consultation at your garden, the next appointment will be to meet at one of our stores to look at plants. Based on your likes and budget, the designer will coordinate ordering, delivery, and place the plants to be planted in your garden. Your dynamic design will be personalized and overseen by our professional staff. If you are short on time, you can give us a budget and we can pick your plants for you!


DRAWINGS, OUTLINES, ESTIMATES

● We create simple, success-oriented planting plans for gardens, decks, and terraces, as well as indoor plant consultations.

● We develop a diagram and a complete plant estimate including soil requirements and care information.

● Our planting plans can be easily followed by every level of gardener.


Expertise: Our consultants are all garden professionals with years of experience designing and working with plants that are appropriate for our varied Bay Area dry summer & wet winter micro-climates. *Please note: we are not landscape architects.
