Growing Potatoes in Small Spaces
Potatoes offer a rewarding gardening experience because harvesting them feels like finding a hidden, bountiful treasure. Potatoes are relatively easy to grow and can be grown in garbage bags, sacks, or potato bins. Potato Leek Soup
(by Debbie Does Dinner)
6 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 leeks, thinly sliced
4 large garlic cloves, minced
6 medium russet potatoes, peeled & chopped
8 cups (or more) chicken stock
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup (about 6 oz) crumbled Bleu cheese (Debbie prefers Pt. Reyes brand)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.

20-25 new potatoes
3 lemons
8 oz. cream cheese
1 1/2 diced white onions
2 T champagne vinegar
1 small bunch of chives
Extra virgin olive oil
Freshly ground salt and pepper

Garden Fresh Veggie Mash
1 pound garnet yams, peeled and diced
½ pound broccoli, cut into  florets
½ pound zucchini, diced
½ pound carrots, peeled and diced
1½ pound potatoes (I prefer Yukon Gold or Russets), peeled
½ pound green beans, cut into 1 inch pieces
½ cup cream (can substitute milk)
6 Tablespoons butter
Salt & pepper
