Bay Area Plant Pick for September: Rudbeckia

posted by

Commonly known as Black Eyed Susan, Rudbeckia is one of our favorite Bay Area perennials to provide bright color going into fall. It grows quickly to about 2ft to 4ft high (depending on variety), is drought and heat tolerant, and loves full sun. Rudbeckia is great for attracting pollinators like bees and butterflies. Remove spent flowers to encourage a longer flowering period.
